Membership Eligibility

To open a business account at Taylor Credit Union, the business must qualify in one of the two areas:

  • Majority of directors, owners, or members are eligible for membership
  • Business is located within Taylor Credit Union’s field of membership area of Taylor, Price, Lincoln, Marathon, & Clark Counties

Upon account opening, a $5.00 deposit into the business’s Primary Savings Account is also required.

Types of Businesses:

Sole Proprietorship

Someone who owns an unincorporated business by themselves.

Required Documents
  • Sole Proprietor’s Social Security number or Employer ID Number (EIN)
  • Unexpired photo ID
  • Signer’s Social Security number or ITIN

Organization

Community non-profit or volunteer group.

Required Documents
  • Copy of meeting minutes
  • Copy of Employer ID Number (EIN)
  • Signer’s unexpired photo ID
  • Signer’s Social Security number or ITIN

Limited Liability Company (LLC)

A corporate structure whereby the members of the company cannot be held personally liable for the company’s debts or liabilities.

Required Documents
  • Copy of Articles of Organization
  • Copy of Employer ID Number (EIN)
  • Signer’s unexpired photo ID
  • Signer’s Social Security number or ITIN

Corporation/INC.

Business operating on behalf of its shareholders.

Required Documents
